Dominic Chappellet was born a year after his parents founded Chappellet Vineyard & Winery in California’s Napa Valley. Settling on Pritchard Hill’s rocky slopes, Chappellet became the first winery to plant vineyards exclusively on high-elevation hillsides. Dominic grew up exploring the land and helping out in the winery and vineyards. He tasted wine at the family dinner table and pitched in during crush – experiences that enabled him to develop a keen palate and a strong understanding of the family business. Dominic and his wife Amy have spent the last several years living on Pritchard Hill with their four children and working for the family business in various capacities. Dominic sits on the Board of Directors for Chappellet and Amy is active in the winery’s national sales efforts.
